Privacy Policy

Ishu Agrawal built Unhook. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use Unhook.

Information We Collect

Unhook does not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or contact details. The habit data you enter — including habit names, streak progress, and settings — is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud Sync, that data is also stored in your personal iCloud account (see below).

Subscriptions and Payments

Unhook offers an optional Pro subscription processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and track entitlement status. The RevenueCat SDK transmits an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase receipts, and basic device information (device model, operating system version, locale, country) to RevenueCat's servers. It does not receive your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

iCloud Sync

If enabled, Unhook uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your habit data across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, accessible only to you, and is not visible to us. Apple's iCloud privacy policy governs this data. You can disable iCloud Sync at any time from the Account page within the app.

Analytics and Tracking

Unhook does not include any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites, and we do not use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

Notifications

Unhook may send local notifications (such as daily reminders and streak alerts) if you grant permission. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual habits at any time within the app, or use "Delete All Data" in Account settings to clear everything from your device. If you have iCloud Sync enabled, deleting habits this way also removes them from your iCloud account on all your synced devices. Deleting the app alone removes only the on-device copy — any data already in your iCloud account remains until you sign out of iCloud, disable iCloud Sync before deletion, or remove the data manually from iCloud Settings.

Children's Privacy

Unhook does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
